The College Professor
Dr. Steve Dusseau
In 1996, Professor Dusseau took a leap of faith—from a successful stint in industry to higher education. He was hired to begin Indiana Tech’s Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering degree program. The rewards have been plentiful over the years for Professor Dusseau and the countless students he has mentored—and he wouldn’t have it any other way.
Indiana Tech’s popular professor works hard to make sure his students graduate well-equipped to enter the workforce with a solid skill set and confidence. Equally as important, he works hard to impart life wisdom to his students (he and his wife have hosted a bible study in his home since 1996) and he has helped many students navigate through a wide array of difficult times.
“I had a few college professors that really cared about me as a person, and it changed the trajectory of my life,” Professor Dusseau said. “After some years of being an engineer in industry, I was drawn to invest in something bigger than myself and do the same thing for college students that other professors had done for me. College years can be difficult for some and it’s an honor for me to be helpful to someone as they work to figure things out.”
What a life of significance and worth looks like to Steve:
“My idea of living a life of significance and worth is bringing glory to God as much as I can.”
