Robotic Warriors Club
The Robotic Warriors Club (RWC) is a yearlong (16-week) after-school program where middle and high school students will receive hands-on experience designing, developing, programming, and constructing robots.
A primary goal for this club is to prepare student teams to enter one of their own robots in the annual National Robotics Challenge (NRC) in Marion, Ohio. Indiana Tech has supported teams in the NRC since 1995 and has a long history of winning at this competition. This year’s NRC will be on April 3-5th, 2025.
The program has two divisions—an introductory division for first-year students (7th-10th grade) into the RWC to introduce them to robotics through building, coding, and testing Mazebots, and an advanced division for eighth- through 12th-graders that will guide them toward advanced robotic design and programming. Students will receive two hours of instruction every other Wednesday from Indiana Tech engineering faculty and advisors who are experienced in robotics.
Dates
The Robotic Warriors club is a yearlong after-school program meeting every other Wednesday 6-8pm, beginning September 11, 2024.
